Aidan has worked in the antiques trade for more than fifteen years, drawing on his background in the restoration of historic buildings, including significant projects within the Royal Estate. This experience has shaped a deep appreciation for proportion, craftsmanship and the quiet beauty that objects acquire over time. Architectural form, originality and patina are the common threads that run through his collections.
He founded Interior Motive to expand his work with private clients, sourcing and supplying antiques and decorative pieces from across the United Kingdom and Europe. He works with collectors, interior designers and the trade, selecting objects that balance design integrity with decorative appeal.
Now based in South West London, Aidan continues to travel widely in search of distinctive pieces spanning the sixteenth to twentieth centuries, from vernacular furniture to mid-century design, united by a layered country house aesthetic and an enduring sense of history.

Delivery is available by separate quotation after purchase, or you can choose to collect your item from our premises.
Should your items arrive damaged or you feel unhappy with your purchase for any reason, please let us know within 24 hours of delivery. We review all return requests individually. We aim to provide clear, honest descriptions of every piece we sell, and we’re always happy to supply additional photographs or more detailed condition notes on request.
Please be aware that glass items and certain other antique pieces, cannot be insured through postal or courier services. If you choose to have these items shipped in this way, the responsibility sits entirely with the buyer, and any right to a refund relating to damage will be void.
If a return is approved, the buyer will be responsible for both the original and return delivery/postage charges. Refunds are issued once the item has been returned and confirmed to be in the same condition as when sent. We strongly recommend using a tracked and signed-for method when returning goods. Refunds will be processed within 48 hours of the item being received under these conditions.
